In the past few days I've discovered the city of Boston and I can say I truly enjoyed being here. I really feel the energy of the people and it's great to experience and meet with the community. Two more days until the big day. I can't wait.

I live for the moments where I get to challenge the limits. It’s never guaranteed, it’s never easy. Today was a tough day for me. I pushed myself as hard as I could but sometimes, we must accept that today wasn’t the day to push the barrier to a greater height.

I met a group of demonstrators outside U.S. Embassy Bangkok, received their petition and heard their views. I thanked them for coming and reiterated that the U.S. respects the institution of the Thai monarchy and the great esteem in which Thais hold the Royal Family 1/2

I also emphasized that the U.S. did not have a preferred outcome in the election and does not support a party or candidate. We look forward to working with the government that emerges from Thailand’s democratic process. The Thai people alone should choose who governs them. 2/2

Today, July 4th, Americans celebrate our Independence Day & the ideals of our Founders. We spend time with our families & enjoy picnics, music, parades & fireworks. This year, Lori & I are grateful to share this day with so many Thai & American friends! Happy Birthday America!

It was an honor today to join the ordination ceremony of Pol.Sgt. Chakrit Ditpakwaen at Wat Suan Som! We circled the temple three times, threw coins to renounce worldly possessions, and celebrated his acceptance as a monk!
