Our Medical Director and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Quality, Dr. David Sher, presented on the use of adaptive radiotherapy in the treatment of head and neck cancers. Dr. Sher is also Chief of Head and Neck Radiation Oncology Service in our department.

Such a privilege to meet 1:1 with one of my all-time Rad Onc heroes, Sandra Demaria, M.D., from Cornell! Her work has changed and continues to change the field. She was doing immuno-oncology long before it was cool!

A milestone moment! This morning we were thrilled to welcome our first patient, Malia, to VROC!

Our first Brachytherapy Training Program on image-guided brachytherapy in cervical cancer featured lectures, a live case, hands-on practice, all led by a fantastic multidisciplinary group. We were grateful to host 11 participants from the U.S., Mexico, Peru, and Ecuador!
