Mayplace lane, se18 πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Fact is, as reported in the article, they had a chance - Greenwich Council planning department and to be fair Cllrs themselves - to stipulate the need of a 2nd entrance. They didnt. It was ignored. Despite people saying it was needed & I said more developments were happening.

Mayplace lane, se18 πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ In all honesty, Berkeley Homes saying what they said in 2020, pass the buck back to RBG. They could arrange it with TfL if there was CIL in place. But undoubtedly any such CIL would go to GLaB, their jobs programme, rather than infrastructure which is really needed.

Mayplace lane, se18 πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ The priorities of the Council, even when Thorpe was in charge of it and equally useless as he could have made positive changes on this as he was alerted to it, are not on things like that but diverting it away to GLaB. The amounts that go to that are ridiculous.

The Shooters Hill ward deserves a strong, local voice on the Councilβ€”someone who lives in the ward who will stand up for our community with courage, integrity, and without fear of intimidation and bullying. That's why I'm proud to support Tamasin Rhymes

π”Ήπ•šπ•π•π•  Calum O'Byrne Mulligan Rory McCarron The truth is now out. β€œWe have in our possession a formal asbestos survey commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich in 2019 which states thatΒ noΒ asbestos was identified in Green Garth itself.” So much in that letter was made up, this is shocking and irresponsible.

Spend Β£21m and no idea what you're doing. Same again next year? Believe me, I know the idiots making these decisions. And the many hapless Labour cllrs who back them to the hilt. Not all mind, but increasingly one wonders why many support such a shambles. They do too

Second Labour cllr quits Labour in Lewisham since March. Both have joined the Greens. Follows two quitting Labour in neighbouring Greenwich also since March, with one resignation after being threatened with suspension leading to a by-election tomorrow. fromthemurkydepths.co.uk/2025/06/25/sec…

3/3 Clearly parties always had a system of loyalty but it's at the extreme now in parts of Labour. Any perceived hint of dissent and ostracised. It isn't healthy at all. Good cllrs are silenced or pushed out. Yes men remain, looking at their own careers

Greenwich Council news story put out this week: β€œIn Greenwich we champion sustainable travel all year round, not just for a week". Allocation for active travel via Section 106 at Charlton site before Planning Board next week? Β£2k despite dismal streets. Actions not words count.

Massive contrast to streets south of the river around the Silvertown tunnel and much of Greenwich peninsula linking to Charlton and east Greenwich. It's the difference that s106 and CIL funds can achieve, alongside leveraging them with external funding such as TfL cash
