Thank you to Lance Corporal Harris and Corporal Provis for leading fantastic session on Operations of Flight, focusing on Gliding, Aircraft Cockpit, and Air Cadet Aircraft. We developed understanding of aircraft and instrument terminology. A fantastic second session back!

Cadets were recently awarded their ‘First Class Cadet’ badge. The event was made particularly special as friends and family were able to observe Flt Lt Prowse and Wg Cdr Evans present each cadet with their award. Wales & West Region RAF Recruitment . Thank you to all that attended.

Thank you Sgt Sam T for leading today’s session. Learning about the evolution of the ejection seat was delivered in a fun, informative and practical style. 1344 (Cardiff) Squadron, Sam is an asset to you 🫡. Congratulations to team ‘Globemaster’ for the winning ejection and parachute design.

Cyber lesson 1 ✔️. Cadets fully engaged in learning about data leaks, meta data and data security. Today’s session finished with some drill. Led by Sgt Pucknell and APO Maunders, who have just returned from a busy 2 day instructors course. Da iawn pawb 🫡.

Cyber lesson 2 ✔️. Cadets (and staff) learnt about unsecured external networks and the risks to personal data. The session finished with drill training, led by Sgt Provis, where students mastered an about turn on the march and saluting. 🫡Fantastic progress made. Da Iawn pawb!

Another great ‘cyber’ session from Sgt Sam T today. Malware, security and data privacy are just some of the topics discussed 💻👾. Also a lovely evening for a spot of drill 🫡.

01.04.25 Cyber studies continued, led by Sgt Sam, and cadets completed drill training in small groups, with NCOs taking lead🫡the weather was not the only thing heating up, with the contentious topic of correct drill timings being hot topic among the Sgts!

08.04.25 saw our inter-flight competition. Cadets took on command tasks (involving non-verbal communication at a distance), creating a 5-minute drill sequence and aircraft recognition in teams. A fantastic display of maturity, creativity and resilience was demonstrated! Dai iawn!

Thank you to cadets for a fantastic half term of learning and development but most of all fun! We hope students and families have an enjoyable Easter break and we look forward to welcoming students back to cadets on Tuesday 29th April, 3.10pm

29.04.25 - Starting off the summer term eager to earn their blue badge with part 1, Space! 🚀🌌As always a fun and challenging end to the session with a contingent 'drill-a-thon', where any wrong move led to cadets being eliminated one by one from the drill parade. Dai Iawn!!

A big thank you to the cadets who presented to an excited group of potential recruits during the Year 9 assembly yesterday morning. In preparation for September, the CCF taster session will be on Tuesday 1st July. More information will be shared nearer the time.

A sneak peek at the early stages of the CCF entry for ‘Bishop’s Got Talent’ later this term. They will be performing alongside BOLHS Perf Arts Dept and Bishop PE Department. Tickets on sale soon.
