Finally getting to open my first bottle, we are delighted with the collaboration with Echlinville and Waterford Whiskey Society and the response from our members so far has been fantastic.

Had a fantastic touring trip of Scotland with the family which included visits to distilleries in Speyside and around Pitlochry. Picked up some lovely distillery releases and visited a few great whiskey shops too. Still plenty more to visit in the future.

Great tasting at Waterford Distillery yesterday, a Cuvee masterclass organized by Waterford Whiskey Society where we blended 5 our own cuvees to bring home. Also tasted the unreleased and most peated Waterford Whiskey Cuvee to date, 74ppm.

Lauren, who runs our distillery tours, is feeling generous today and has a special giveaway to commemorate the Nano Cuvée launch - a bottle filled and signed by CEO Mark Reynier himself! Retweet for chance to win. Don’t be cheeky - over 18s only. Winners announced Friday 6 p.m.

I was searching for some Glentauchers after listening to Dramface and this bottling from Signatory Whisky was recommended on X by David Marra, a beautiful whisky and great value👍#BeMoreSignatory #FiftyQuidWhisky

A visit today to The Lakes Distillery near Keswick, Cumbria. Built on the site of a 160 year old dairy farm, they are focused on fruity, floral, mainly sherry matured single malt whiskies. The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No. 07 was the pick of the day, A very good whisky, priced at £85.

Each September I complete a survey, recording the prices of a distillery's 18yo - a standard bottle which you might buy for a special occasion like a birthday. This year's results are in - let's see how things have changed. malt-musings.blogspot.com/2024/09/whisky…

Attended a great event yesterday with the The Whisky Lounge in Manchester Cathedral. Some great distilleries, many of which I hadn’t tasted before.

A few days away in Dingle and dropped off at Carry Out Off Licence Killarney for a bottle of the new W.D. O’Connell Whiskey Merchants Union Road. A great value whiskey with plenty of flavour and depth 43%, definitely recommended 👍. Daithí O'Connell

I’ve been patiently waiting for this release, tasting it a few times along its journey. An ashy peated single malt with loads of sweetness on the palette, uniquely made in Donegal. Well done to James Doherty and all the team at ArdaraDistillery and continued success.
