It’s a 3 for 1 Saturday. Always fun when I catch students playing at the same fields when my kids are playing. It’s extra special when two classmates/students are playing against each other and I get to catch the game!

Morphemes this week + my love of the Atlanta Braves. We learned that Ronald Acuña Jr. can’t go play a game with just his hat (prefixes), or jersey (root words)-he needs to put them together. But base words can stand alone, just like the bobblehead can stand because it has a base.

One of my favorite class meeting activities: students randomly chose a sticky note with another student’s name yesterday afternoon and wrote something nice about them. Then this morning every student got to start today off with a positive message on their desk! Joey Moss
