Confidence will get you much further in life. That is why when I see little Black girls who are shy, I cheer them on. Yes. Because even in that shyness, they must know much their presence is important. But, you know, that’s just me.

In our neck of the hood, Dec has been the worst! It's day 3, (30 degrees C today) of not a💧drop of water to drink is coming out of our taps. All the while no water tanker has reached our community. Zero info + updates to residents about what's going on. #ViolationOfWaterRights

Same structural violence we've been subjected to kwaBB and CC eMlazi. Taps were running completely dry on Christmas. This after we had only 4 hours of supply on Christmas Eve. Abeve besiphilisa kabuhlungu. Sibe sikhokha! Sicela ukwazi, when will you restore supply eThekwini Municipality ?

Can't help but wonder how the irresponsible Mayor, his fellow officials + their engineers/technicians sleep at night knowing the communities they are paid handsomely to serve are existing w/out the most basic & vital of services. ⁉️ Day 4 taps are running dry in 32 degrees C.

The lack of communication to residents re what's happening is the worst. Inconsiderate and inhumane. A violation of your constitutional obligations eThekwini Municipality. We PAY for this service. Per the relevant legislationyou can't shut off water supply without notice. SAHRCommission

School holidays are here! PLEASE have your child reading. At least 30 minutes daily - more is better. For a list of quality books in indigenous languages, visit us: puku.co.za/catalogues/ Be sure to also limit screen time - tablets & TV can't be for more than 2 hours a day.
