Great effort from three groups of officials yesterday supporting Hawick Youth Rugby and under 16 tournaments at Volunteer Park and the Hawick RFC tournament at Mansfield Park. Down the road to Berwick Rugby Club today for their annual sevens at Scremerston.

Last weekend saw another double-header at Kelso RFC and Earlston RFC. Massive thanks to a very small group of officials who covered both tournaments. Referee numbers continue to be a real challenge in the Borders. Get in touch if you can play your part.

Saturday saw the start of the senior season in the Borders with Peebles RFC sevens. David Changleng - one of our longest serving referees - blew the opening whistle before Josh and Fraser then made their senior sevens debuts.

It’s was a mix of youth and experience on Saturday. Well done to Josh and Fraser who made their senior debuts and to Dan who has recently moved to Scotland and got to experience his first Kings of the Sevens tournament.
