This was a “work in progress” on both my medical school and residency applications, and now it’s published! Thank you to my first research mentors, who made this possible and have provided ongoing inspiration with their dedication and passion.

In high school, I heard a talk about the road to becoming an MD and immediately ruled it out because of the long path. Last night, I stood before current high schoolers as an MD to share my love for surgery. If you follow your passion and people who inspire you, the time flies by
