To renew sanctions against Russia to ensure that the €210bn of frozen Russian assets remain frozen in the EU or to deliver these assets back to Russia as a reward for annihilating Ukraine. 2/5

The EU & G7 have already repurposed windfall profits from immobilized Russian assets to guarantee a €50bn loan to Ukraine. If these sanctions are left unrenewed, the assets which are guaranteeing this loan will be gone. 3/5

Ukraine’s reconstruction must not fall solely on Western taxpayers, but rather on the state responsible for the destruction—Russia. 4/5

The clock is ticking. First & foremost, the EU must make the political decision to seize the immobilized assets & make sure that these assets will remain inaccessible for Russia. 5/5
