R6 Chavez moving head and slipping punches while he stands in front of Flores and times him up with a nice uppercut, also 2 punch combo to body followed by left hook to temple, 5-1 Chavez, fighting brilliantly

R7 Chavez pouring it on now with some vicious, fast combos, Flores started off round pretty well and just got smacked back into retreat mode, Chavez mixes down to body after flurry upstairs, breaking this dude down, 6-1 Chavez #boxing

R8 Chavez best round Flores has had in a while but still wasn’t enough, Chavez very crafty and poised in there, Flores came forward and landed a left then got turned by Chavez who connected with a left hook of his own, nice quick combos, 7-1 Chavez #boxing

R9 Flores massive round! Connected with a huge right hook to chin in exchange that buckled knees of Chavez, jumps on him and lands a couple big left hands as they trade to the bell, Flores needs a KO on my card but this is his hometown, so who knows what these scores are? #boxing

R10 Flores what a finish! What was a #boxing lesson from Chavez for 8 rounds turned into a scintillating firefight in the last 2 rounds, Flores huge left uppercut to chin on inside, then a big left that seemed to rock Chavez who stands his ground & lands big right late. 97-93 JC

Credit to Manny Flores for closing strong the last 2 rounds. Showed impressive resilience. But those cards were a JOKE. Jorge Chavez comprehensively outboxed him & earned a signature win. No way you can find more than 4 rounds for Flores if you’re generous. Sickening #boxing

R1 Dasmarinas 10-8 drops Pierce hard late in round with a sharp counter left hand to chin, gets up and eats some more big shots including a left to chin at bell, if that was 30 sec earlier, this fight might have been over #boxing

R2 Dasmarinas another big right hook late in round, boxing effectively in there, moving laterally outside and then letting go of nice flurries to head and mixing shots to body, Pierce looking for that one big punch, 20-17 MD #boxing

R3 Dasmarinas nice left uppercut on inside, also counters with a short left hand, the commentary was hyping up Pierce as he missed nearly every shot he threw during the sequence, 30-26 MD #boxing

R4 Pierce close, getting jab working more consistently now, landed a couple solid left hands to head of Dasmarinas who closed round strong & tried to steal it, 39-36 MD #boxing

R5 Dasmarinas close, making Pierce miss a lot with his head movement and footwork, closing every round strong with nice flurries, he landed a nice left on Pierce’s chin late, 49-45

R6 Dasmarinas close, Pierce just following him around ring, not cutting ring off at all, nice right hook to body but missing a lot of what he throws. Dasmarinas better timing and landing in flurries #boxing

R7 Pierce good round for him, used jab effectively and then placed a hard right hook to body, Dasmarinas going to body too, both guys having moments, but Pierce needed that round bad and may need the rest of them #boxing

R8 Pierce starting to get through these last couple rounds, nice left uppercut to chin late in round, finding home for left more often now, but Dasmarinas despite slowing down, is still up a few points on my card. #boxing

KO9 Pierce in a KOTY candidate, dropped him with a battering flurry then finally a double right hook. 2nd one landing cleanly on chin and flattening him with head laying on bottom rope #boxing

Pierce needed that KO (or at least a KD) on my card. Hurt him early with a left hand to side of head then pounced, a right hook/another left hand dropped him the first time, then set up that KO beautifully, right hook to body then devastating right hook to chin sleeps him #boxing

Didn’t expect that type of star-making performance from Xander Zayas. He outboxed and outslugged Jorge Garcia Perez, using his far superior footwork, timing, & accuracy to keep the tough contender at bay for 12 rounds. I only gave Garcia rnd 9. Zayas proved a lot tonight. #boxing

That performance from Kyosuke Takami today was eye opening. Beat the damn brakes off Erick Rosa. Big, strong puncher with good timing and a relentless body attack. Won every round for me and only round 6 was even debatable. One to watch in the lower weight classes #boxing
