A friend just sent me an updated MIAC football schedule. If I'm reading this correctly, instead of likely playing in the conference championship game in the last week of the season, the Johnnies will now be hosting Saint Olaf. WTF just happened?

If I’m reading this right, the original MIAC football schedule somehow let Olaf (who helped kick out the Tommies, remember) be the only team to skip the Johnnies this year. Pure coincidence? Now they’re ending their season in Collegeville, time for their yearly beatdown. Justice.

Hanging at Gonzaga this weekend. Met a rising senior and asked about his major. He told me and then said, “Honestly, I wish I’d majored in accounting.” Don’t we all.

A student interning at an elite CPA firm told me, “I’m going to name drop you for office cred. I hope you don’t mind.” Do I mind? Hell no. You earn that right the second you send in that deposit to Saint Joe or Collegeville. LFG.

A few of my students are at a training facility for a big CPA firm. They took a pic and sent it to me tonight. Loved seeing them all together having fun. What I loved even more? That they knew I’d want to see them, because they know I care about them. Bennies and Johnnies rock.

Got introduced today: “Boz is a prof at St. Ben’s & St. John’s. They have a well-respected accounting program.” Well-respected? That’s like saying Manny’s has decent steaks. We’re the premier and most badass program in the state. Anyone who says otherwise is smoking something.

Got a note from a current student: “So thankful to have professors that look out for their students!” It’s not a bonus here. It’s the standard. At Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s, we don’t just teach. We give a damn.

Outdoor bartending at Sal’s for Reunion weekend got a little wild. My haters will be disappointed to learn that the tornado didn’t get me.

Been nine years since my book on Gagliardi was published, and I still get one of these types of messages nearly every week. Seems his record of 489 wins is safe for awhile, the active coach closest to catching him is 197 wins behind.

Someone who went to another college told me today, “I love what you’re doing at Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s. Can I be an honorary alum?” My answer: If you hire my students, promote them, and look for other ways to support us? Hell yes.
