Our collections team recently pulled out a fascinating set of meteorological journals that document weather readings from Braithwaite (Keighley) between 1807 & 1855. They’re an incredible resource for anyone studying historic #weather patterns – or #Bronte Scholars...

'Fighting To Be Heard' is an innovative new exhibition at Cartwright Hall in Bradford, featuring Islamic calligraphy in Arabic and Urdu... and boxing! The juxtaposition of art, film, a local boxing academy and precious Qur'an manuscripts loaned by the British Library -ingenious.

☕️ It's notoriously difficult to list or preserve the intangible heritage of caffs, so this is an interesting curatorial alternative. The Fountains Coffee House & Grill in Bradford's Oastler Centre opened 1968 and closed 2023. Now several original fixtures have gone on display
