Our Craft Group meets on the 4th Friday monthly and helps improve skills in a variety of crafts with members sharing their enthusiasm and skills and learning from each other. Recent projects have included making twiddle muffs for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FT, patchwork, rag rugs and card making.

Our Family History Group recently heard a talk about a little known Bradfordian: Fred Towler. A successful wool merchant, Fred was well travelled and multi-lingual. Dying in Bradford in 1942 he left money to set up a Charity which provided funds to give people holidays.

Here are the former Kirkgate Market gates that will be displayed on our Market Square and F &B Floor inside Darley Street Market. The gates are being restored by specialists in heritage pieces and we are looking forward to seeing this part of Bradford history back in our market.
