Had a close look at some of the Isolepis growing in Rathlin's ditches yesterday. Very pleased to find both Bristle Club-rush and Slender Club-rush present together, and enjoyed seeing the differences in glume colour and nut texture between these tiny species 🤓#WildflowerHour

Welsh Mudwort Limosella australis grown from strandline fragments at Pwllheli harbour a few weeks back. Unlike Mudwort L. aquatica (last pic also cultivated) australis has undifferentiated petiole/leaf & surprisingly strongly freesia-scented white flowers #Wildflowerhour
