The extent of Storm #Eowyn’s impact on conifer plantations cannot be seen properly from the ground. This drone footage taken today above a stand I visited in Meath shows how wind hardened trees around the edge remain standing while the centre has been flattened.

I did something stupid last Tuesday. I left my dancing shoes on the Sligo to Dublin train. 🤦🏼‍♀️ And nobody handed them in to the lost and found. So if anyone took a pair of peach and orange shoes in a yellow carrier bag on the returning Dublin to Sligo train please give them back.

Forget the battle of the billionaires. One of the best radio pieces of the week was Brenda Donohue interviewing people passing through a service station in Galway. rte.ie/radio/radio1/c…
