Agree. Maybe we should start with immediately revoking the Vice Chairmanship — including the accompanying office and staff budget — of any Democrat colleague who has willfully and intentionally fled the state to avoid doing his or her job.

None of the quorum punishments have any real teeth. If you want to stop it from happening, put something in the Election Code that says if an elected official doesn’t show up for work for 30 days, the position is considered vacant and the Governor can call a special election.
