Wednesday 21st March: launch update ALB launched to 7metre yacht with one person on board experiencing difficulties 4 miles north-east of Filey Brigg. Yacht taken to Scarborough where it was safely berthed. Yachtsman a bit shaken but otherwise okay. Well done to all involved.

Last Week our Lifeboat Operations Manager, Martin, celebrated 40 years service as an RNLI volunteer here at Withernsea. Martin joined the crew when he was 17, following in the footsteps of his father, Ken. He was on the crew for over 27 years before becoming our L.O.M.
