I don’t venture into Ossett much these days, but was delighted to see these old guys still surviving as I cycled through this afternoon 🚴

Some detective work for you folks. In the 1970s, the NBC symbol was sometimes used on road signs in the same way as the BR double arrows. They were used together too. Does anyone have photos please? And was the NBC symbol ever in the TSRG roadsigns guidance? #bluebordersigns

Came across this beauty only a couple of miles from home yesterday (Wakefield). The road in question would have had a stop, but is now a dead end having being dissected by a dual carriageway in approx 1974. So it is nice to see this old out of use relic survive!

Today I found myself in Micklefield nr. Sherburn-in-Elmet and came across this memorial for Peckfield Colliery, complete with blue bordered sign. Not sure if it’s original or a reproduction, but lovely to see. There was a mining disaster here in 1896. The colliery closed in 1980
