In honor of Veterans Day, 2nd graders learned about a canine veteran named Rags who helped in WWI. We loved learning how dogs and other animals help the military this week. 🪖 🐕

This week, 1st graders are focusing on kindness, sharing, and gratitude with the beautiful story Thank You Omu!

#NativeAmericanHeritageMonth in 3rd and 2nd grade. 3rd graders read a Navajo star folktale and coded their own star story on ScratchJr . 2nd graders learned about the berry picking traditions of the Tlingit people and went berry picking with BeeBot.co

4th and 5th graders have enjoyed reading Home Alone and creating traps for Harry and Marv with stem bins and code.

4th graders have been working hard for a month in the media center, researching an extreme setting and creating their fictional "I Survived" stories. This week, we published and told our stories using Ozobot . 🌀 ❄️ 🌋 🏜 🏝 🐍

For #WomensHistoryMonth 3rd graders are learning about cactus queen Minerva Hoyt, who fought to protect the Californian desert and helped establish Joshua Tree NPS . They made some pretty awesome Joshua trees too! 🏜

This week our Communications team fired up the drone to help Porters Neck Elementary School take a pretty epic school-wide photo to celebrate their annual PTA fundraiser. Great job, Pelicans!
