@EventBrockwell Lambeth Council two weekends again next year 27/28 May and 3/4 June. Extended beyond the one weekend festivals, not sure on any public consultation. That means 100’s HGV’s over the course of nearly a month💨 💨 💨 plus that massive metal barrier closing off a massive chunk of the park. 1/2

The Queens trees- (two of the conifer’s up by the clocktower) are due to be planted in our park. Planting is best November onwards so they have a dormant period to ‘settle in’.Currently we are working with our tree officer on the best site for them. They are not forgotten 🌲🌲

Dear Lime this is what Half Moon Lane in #HerneHill looked like yesterday. Admittedly there was a festival going on in Brockwell Park but surely there's a way to plan ahead and ensure this doesn't happen?? We ❤️ sustainable travel but this 👇🏾 impacts local business -vely.

Well over a thousand people this afternoon just hanging out in the chunk of Brockwell Park which, tomorrow, will be fenced off - for over a month - for ticketed events. In return, the council receives about £10k a day - just a little more than the cost of the avg wedding venue.

The summer views of Brockwell Park. ☹️ Half of it blocked off so council can charge ££s for the wealthier amongst us for festivals. Meanwhile local people, often in gardenless blocks of flats, can suck it up. Their only green space being removed from their use in the summer. 😡

INSANE diversity washing here in Brockwell Park, where walls cutting off locals for expensive festivals, are adorned with bell hooks quotes! 1 in 3 people in Lambeth live in social housing - does privatising their one green space create ‘optimal wellbeing and joy’ ?! Sickening.

I thought I should correct some misinformation and greenwashing put out by loony Lambeth Council about Brockwell Park so I corrected a video for them.
