1/ Today, DA Brooke Jenkins 謝安宜 announced that Patrick Hamer was charged in connection to an unprovoked stabbing at a bar on Divisadero St. He is charged w/ attempted murder, w/ an allegation that he used deadly weapon + that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.

The Single Cell Occupancy Pilot Program (AB 1140) just passed the CA Senate Public Safety Committee w/ unanimous & bipartisan support! Thank you to the committee + author Assemblymember Damon Connolly for your partnership w/ me on this bill that will ensure public safety by reducing recidivism.

My office will continue to do everything we can to ensure that drug dealers are held accountable + face consequences. Unrepentant drug dealers, who continue to sell drugs while on probation mock the criminal justice system + add insult to the harm that they are inflicting.

1/ District Attorney Brooke Jenkins 謝安宜 announced today that Joe Lorenzo Neal Jenkins has been charged in connection to possession of hundreds of pounds of illegal fireworks. He was arraigned on July 1, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Six years after this incident, we have made some progress + are better positioned to make our roads safer yet we still see far too much speeding & dangerous behavior on our roads. I hope this verdict brings the victim’s family some closure + a sense of healing.

Although I understand the frustration & anger in the community, violence is unacceptable + only makes matters worse. SF DISTRICT ATTORNEY takes all crime seriously + is working in partnership w/ law enforcement to ensure those who engage in criminal behavior are held accountable.
