Chatting w/ a teacher friend in front of the NKC Schools Adult Education and Literacy center when I heard, “hello teacher.” I looked over & it was one of my current student’s mom walking into her evening English class. It was so fun being able to cheer her on in her learning too! 🎉 Crestview Elementary

Dear Northtown News students, If you were a former Crestview Elementary cheetah, PLEASE say hi & maybe reintroduce yourselves tomorrow during your walk thru. You’ve changed A LOT since you walked our halls & I want to give you the biggest hug & cheer you on! 💜💛

I loved the questions my 2nd graders had after they got to high five the Northtown News seniors today. Lots of questions about college & excitement over getting to pick what they want to study. They’re also very excited to wear the “purple dresses & hats.” 💜💛 Crestview Elementary

We finished our cub time activity a bit early so we played “Guess the country flag”. They loved it & were sooooo good at it. Several had flags that represented their cultural identities & they loved confidently shouting out the country name. Crestview Elementary

Cheetahs have my heart. Crestview Elementary 🐆❤️

Celebrated the one & only Lisa raney tonight with a retirement celebration. It was a happy reunion of so many former Crestview Elementary colleagues launching her into retirement. Smiles, laughter & full hearts. Thanks for EVERYTHING Raney! ❤️

What’s not to love about time outside at the zoo with your classmates. We had a few first time zoo attendees & it was fun to take it all in & see it from their perspective. Reading the zoo map is always a highlight too! Crestview Elementary

Field day + 60’s & sunshine + staying on property + fun events + being outside all day with friends made for one successful day. Big shout out to Lucas Brown & Timmy Rever for planning the best day ever for our Crestview Elementary cheetahs! 🎉

Shout out to this former Crestview Elementary cheetah. Way to go Chidera!!! 🌟🎉

Sometimes getting a student to talk is challenging. After several failed attempts, I complimented her on her beautiful henna. She came alive & explained so much about the tradition in preparation for her family’s Eid celebration tomorrow. Observe, ask, listen. Crestview Elementary
