#taxtwitter Something happened in Drake around 3/19/24. Before, noncustodial parent had to mail signed 8332 along with 8453 to IRS. After, it seemed OK to attach as a PDF, with very specific naming requirements, and not mail the paper form separately. Anyone else notice that?

What a day, called #IRS PPS, cut off after an hour. Called back, saw my 2022 1040X had been processed, but bal due didn't change. Xfrd to AUR dept, very helpful rep saw when 1040X was processed, they DID NOT HIT THE BUTTON TO "COMMIT", before closing, bal due didn't update 🤬😡

Hey #IRS and Commissioner Werfel, want to improve service? Start with a phone system upgrade. Called 800 number, on hold for 40 minutes, talked briefly to a rep who placed me on hold, then after 20 min on hold, the call dropped. 😡🤬ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. #taxtwitter

Called #IRS to check on status of amended 2022 return. #IRS flubbed processing the return in March, so it remained with a $5,000+ balance, instead of $61. Faxed ANOTHER 1040X 2 weeks ago. Waited on hold for AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES, then spoke to a rep, wants another 90 days 😡

#taxtwitter here's some useless trivia for next time you're out with your #CPA or #EA buddies. To make an est. tax pmt. for Form 1120S 2024 Built In Gains Tax, on #EFTPS you choose Form 1120. #IRS doesn't recognize letters after 1120, and sorts it out when you file. Hopefully..

We had to say goodbye to our 17 year old dachshund Bailey today. He’d been visibly going downhill for the past few months. I thought I had prepared myself for the loss. Boy was I wrong. It’s hitting me a lot harder than I expected ❤️

Tried to call my local #SocialSecurity office in Texas, several times in the last couple days. Recording says avg wait time is 15 minutes. Yay. Then, after 15 min, recording comes on saying they’re busy, and tells me to call back later, & hangs up. SSA you need you to do better!!

#taxtwitter I need 2024 Wage & Income for elderly client w/missing records, to file 2024. They obviously don't have on online account, so we went to #IRS.gov to request one be mailed. Options are either Tax Return or Tax Account transcripts, NO WAGE AND INCOME. Crap. Why #IRS ?
