STATEMENT ON FREE BUS TRAVEL We are extremely disappointed with the announcement by the Scottish Government to scrap the commitment to implement the Free Bus Travel pilot scheme for people seeking asylum in Scotland. Scottish Government Fiona Hyslop

This is a dismal decision by Scottish Government! Bus travel for asylum seekers is a basic measure to let people access services and support a bit more easily. I was pleased that the Scottish Greens achieved this commitment while we were in Government, and scrapping it now seems so petty.
