πŸ‡΅πŸ‡· Does Puerto Rican boxing NEED Xander Zayas to be the future ⁉️ πŸ₯Š With his first world title shot coming this Saturday -- and following losses to Amanda Serrano and Edgar Berlanga -- the future might need to start now... βŒ›οΈ ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Felt like Xander Zayas was more accurate in Round 1... clinching everytime Jorge Garcia gets inside. Garcia landed a couple of nice looping right hands. Zayas effective to the body.

2-0 Zayas. Better in Round 2 than 1. Absolutely wants to hit from range and found his first. Clinching every time Garcia pressures. And it's smart. Zayas and his team did homework...

Jorge Garcia hasn't figured out this fight yet. Garcia wants this fight inside. Xander Zayas's craftiness, jab and footwork is making this a counter punching battle. Advantage Zayas so far.

Xander Zayas needs to keep jabbing. Unlike Jorge Garcia, he's actually landing that jab consistently when he throws, and it's setting up his other shots, especially to the body... Garcia is just throwing. Trying to force his rhythm.

Xander Zayas straight up outclassed a tough opponent in Jorge Garcia. Boxed really well, won the jab battle, showcased good footwork, and landed to the body consistently. People will complain about the holding, take that up with the ref.

Final scorecards: 116-112 118-110 119-109 Xander Zayas -- at 22 years old -- is the new WBO Super Welterweight Champion, and he wins via unanimous decision.
