Boys had a great weekend with most of the full time boarders taking a trip to the Devon County Show on Saturday (where some of our other boys were showing). We also took a trip to Clarkโ€™s Village, practised our golf shots at the driving range and burnt up some energy on the field

We had the Army Outreach SW come into school to do some teamworking with the Year 10 boys, culminating in them designing a bomb carrying device and the winning team would be able to carry it on a route quickly, yet safely. Walker house won but all the boys conduct was exceptional.

We said a tearful goodbye to our Year 11 boys today in their Leavers Service; full of smiles and emotion as we looked back through their time with us and presented awards. Following on from this we held our sports day with it being Walker house's day as they lifted the trophy!

We have just returned from our Duke of Edinburgh expedition where boys spent the days navigating and walking on the Quantocks and then camping through the night. They all did superbly in really tough conditions but they did not complain and in true Brymore fashion fully resilient

The past couple of weekends in boarding have been so much fun. Boarders have helped at a local Open Farm event, taken to the slides at Brean Splash, played endless games outside and in, baked some delicious sweet treats and some took part in the Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

This afternoon our art department threw open their doors for an exhibition of students work. Families were invited in to view the artwork and partake in some refreshments and we were kindly supported by FOBSA for this very successful event.

We have had a busy week in boarding starting off with the Mentor training which focussed on first aid and boys learning CPR. We also said a final farewell to the Year 11 boys, as they took their last exam, and this weekend they have enjoyed lots of activities to keep them busy.

Boys took part in athletics over the weekend with Leo and Will competing in the combined events for Somerset. We also had Xavi, Jack and Antonio in the racewalking winning two golds and a silver medal but more importantly all three have qualified for the English schools finals

Our Country Fair for 2024 is done....and what a day we all had! The sun shone for us, the crowds came in their droves and the whole school put on a great show. Thank you to everyone for coming and supporting the school, including our old boys and their families.

We have our newest cohort of Brymore boys join us today to start the process of meeting everyone and settling in before coming back in September when they start officially. It has been a busy day for them and they have enjoyed lots of activities including a session in the pool.

We have had a brilliant day with the whole school staying onsite and taking part in lots of fun activities....everything from archery, to swimming and from slip and slide to an array of bouncy castles. The boys all had a BBQ on the field for lunch and hopefully a day to remember

This morning we held our annual end of year swimming gala and awards with lots of families in attendance. It was a final goodbye from Mr Thomas, who gave a heartfelt thanks. Our Head Boy gave a resounding 'three cheers' for our illustrious leader, who is retiring as our Head.
