Some of the poignant messages left at Mike Gaine’s farm gate in Kenmare this morning. The Kerry farmer’s remains were taken by hearse from his farmyard yesterday evening. A man in his 50s, who was known to Mike Gaine, is still being questioned by Gardaí on suspicion of murder.

A new location is being searched by the army & Gardaí in the Mike Gaine homicide case in Kenmare. It’s known that slurry from Gaine’s shed was disposed of in this general area when the slurry tanks were being emptied in the initial days of the search for the Kerry farmer.
