Introducing this year's "Buckland Professor", Baukje de Roos from Rowett Institute University of Aberdeen on the topic of 'Fish as Food - how much do we have, what do we eat and what should we be eating?'. Thank you a fascinating evening at Trinity Hall in Aberdeen.


"Oily fish are an essential source of omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamin D and micro-nutrients - in the UK we should be eating more" says Baukje de Roos this year's Honorary "Buckland Professor" from Rowett Institute University of Aberdeen.

Frank Buckland Frank T. Buckland was a Victorian natural historian and public speaker who was determined to do all that he could to improve the diet of the poor. This year's Honorary "Buckland Professor", Baukje de Roos is the first in 97 years who has focussed on ‘fish as a food’.
