Just wrapped up veraison sampling for our (Amélie Gaudin & Jonathan Lundgren labs) project studying the effect of grazing & other regenerative practices on soil health, biodiversity, input usage, yield & grape quality. We sampled insects, assessed ground cover & took petiole samples.

Farmers could use your help…1000 Farms Initiative is grass roots research showing regen ag promotes life and stores carbon while growing healthy food profitably. Please support our efforts here ecdysis.bio/donate

We used laser beams to count insects. Cool huh? Insects are so numerous that sometimes they are hard to count. New technology might help us do this easier. Check out this paper by our team (Yes we identified 30,000 insects by hand...) doi.org/10.7554/eLife.…

I just ran a google scholar search of published science using the term “regenerative agriculture”. Of the first 100 search results, only 6 actually measured regen farms (3 were Ecdysis studies). Review articles are not helping the movement. Science is falling down on the job.

This one is worth watching. Sometimes I wonder if the scientific community thinks regen livestock production is real. Savory, Carillo, and myself are live-streaming today. Please check it out facebook.com/share/1CiYCJH6…

New science shows that regenerative grazing is as effective as parasiticides for controlling internal parasites in cattle. Let’s keep the money in ranchers’ pockets instead of the chem companies bio.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=…

Cows are a crucial part of saving the bees. New research shows that regeneratively managed cattle promote flowers and plants on rangelands, which leads to stronger hives that resist pests like varroa. links.email.frontiersin.org/ls/click?upn=u…

Why do we need Science in Regenerative Agriculture? Quite a few people in regen space have recently asked me why we need science. If we have already seen regen work, what does applying the scientific method contribute? Please read here : ecdysis.bio/post/why-scien…
