Otto Liden talking about difluorination of nucleotides #NAF2024 Burley Research Group RSC Nucleic Acids

Well done to Otto Linden in presenting his work at today's RSC Nucleic Acids forum. Also, congratulations to all the presenters, as well as Dave Rusling and Prof Zoë Waller for organising another cracking NAF.

Huge milestone as our study on the GM1-cholera toxin complex by site-selective fluorination is published in ACS Central Science! Many congrats to all authors (Christina Jordan, T. Hayashi et al. Universität Münster). Thanks to partner labs A. Gossert D-BIOL @ ETH Zurich and Jesko Koehnke Leibniz Uni Hannover!

I'm super excited to say that I'll be an @UKRI Future Leaders Fellow from this autumn University of Glasgow Chemistry We will be engineering new approaches to sense steroids for health and environmental protection - watch this space for job postings and exciting new molecular science!

Our chemoenzymatic approach to synthesise 2'deoxyribonucleosides is now out in Chemical Science. Congratulations to Admir 🇧🇦 on his first publication. This has been a great collaboration with Gideon Grogan (York) and Paul Hoskisson 😷🔬🧫🧬🐸🐍🦎 . pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/Art…

Check out this new publication from Burley Research Group! "Gram-scale enzymatic synthesis of 2′-deoxyribonucleoside analogues using nucleoside transglycosylase-2" The article can be read in full and for free here: doi.org/10.1039/D4SC04…

Delighted to share that the European Research Council (ERC) has supported our work on the project LUMIBOR with a starting grant! A huge thanks to my research group for all their hard work. Excited to get started. Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces
