If I hit game-like levels of intensity and tissue load in preparation for a season, I'll likely be ready even if the volumes are below game levels. If I achieve the volumes without hitting the intensity and tissue load, nothing good happens.

“Speed Training” in the Sand…🛑⬇️ 1. Reduced Reactionary Ground Force 2. Slower Ground Contacts 3. Ground instability creates neural inhibition leading to less force output. No one has ever gotten faster doing ladders in the sand. All gimmicks, no results.

It’s true, no one gives away more quality information and products in this space. Years and years of things I have taken and used with our athletes. OVR is recent, but Fahey has BEEN doing this for a while now.

“Optimal” isn’t optimal when it’s at the detriment of effort. If athletes don’t buy into optimal, it doesn’t work. Have to bridge the gap between optimal and applicable.

Another all big bend regional player of the year! This time it's Danielle White (2026). She might be the highest jumping high school girl in the country on OVR as well!

I’ve had a few people ask me for this so I’m reposting it. Simple way to show sport coaches that intensity isn’t the enemy during in-season training. Rather, volume and time under tension are. Then, get them to understand it’s exactly the same when it comes to practices.
