Reception have been looking at parts and wholes this morning. We have sorted ‘parts’ and ‘wholes’ and then used our bodies to help us create our own part/whole stem sentences.

KS1 worked together to make some tasty soup this week as part of our D.T. curriculum. We didn't want the soup to go to waste and sold it to fund more nativity props and KS1 resources. We made £122! Thank you to all parents/carers for your continued support.

Our Year 5 and 6 footballers were in action yesterday, finishing 4th in the Richmondshire area finals after a nail-biting semi-final and penalty shootout. So much teamwork, resilience and determination to be proud of - well done boys!

Swifts really enjoyed their final art lesson this term. They used an assortment of oil pastels to create different tones and produced a beautiful string of Christmas lights.

We have been incredibly lucky to take part in some Puppet Workshops today. Wrens loved telling the stories of The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man and then enjoyed their very own Puppet Dance Party!

KS1 were lucky enough to invite Corporal Humphreys into school today as part of our history topic, 'The History of Flight'. The children enjoyed hearing all about the RAF, having a go at making RAF inspired paper aeroplanes and were even able to try on some of his equipment!

KS1 had a wonderful day at the Yorkshire Air Museum. We found out even more information about the development of flight and the pioneers of the air. The children loved having the opportunity to be up close with so many amazing pieces of history!

Inspiring the next generation of golfers Today we invited Jessica Hall into school to share her experiences in the golfing world. Due to fantastic questions being asked by all classes, she was able to share her achievements so far, including playing for the England Women’s Squad.
