Tryouts last night demonstrated one thing to me, kids that do all the isolated technical stuff, have no clue what to do in a game. Get kids outside and play 3v3, 5v5 they will learn so much more that will actually transfer to the game.

How to fix US youth ⚽️ 1. U8,9,10 2x practice per week max Max 1 game per weekend unless tournament No travel outside local area 2. U11,12,13 3x practice per week max Max 2 games on wknd, 1 per day Travel out of state for any reason limited to 4 trips Time to let kids be kids
