Pre-K had our egg hunt this afternoon at Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary School! The kids looked like they had so much fun. Thank you to all our parents for bringing in the eggs for us 😁

Our Pre-K 4 monolingual and bilingual students blew us away with their letter recognition skills! So proud of how confidently they showed what they’ve learned — way to go, little scholars!

It’s time to start setting up my classroom! This will be year 2 in Pre-K. I am so ready and excited for this school year! Big thanks to Luis for making sure our classrooms start out so squeaky clean. He even helped me put up my light covers 😁

Prepping my new alphabet centers

Day 2 set up complete! Although I made a big mess all over my counter and tables I was able to clear 2 of my 4 boxes 😅 Most of the mess is from center materials that I need to put on my shelves. Tomorrow the goal is to put paper on my bulletin boards 😁

Day 3 done! Backgrounds and boarders are up on all bulletin boards! That was the primary goal today. Tomorrow I’m looking to put up my alphabet above my word wall. My environmental print posters on the bathroom door. Organize my centers… still so much to do 😅

Day 4! Not going to lie, reorganizing that closet overwhelmed me for a bit and I did get stuck trying to clean. On the bright side my projector got upgraded! Tomorrow we are going to put up my alphabet strip and environmental print wall 😁

It’s finally starting to look good 😁 I completely emptied 3 of my boxes. I had 2 boxes of donated items get dropped off today. I need to sort through them to see what I want to keep and what I want to pass on 😁 Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary School Itzamara Canales
