The Mayoress and I attended a large Diwali celebration in Blackburn on Saturday.  It was wonderful to see so many people across our diverse communities come together to celebrate the Hindu Festival of Lights, in a fantastic evening of colour, food, friendship and dancing.

This afternoon a tree was planted in memory of the late Eileen Entwistle of Darwen, who was councillor for 32 years and a former Mayor. Thank you for all that you did, Eileen. 👏
