Prof. Malik Peiris, the Tan Wah-Ching Prof in Medical Science, Chair Prof of Virology and co-director of two WHO viral reference laboratories at Hong Kong University, gave an inspiring plenary about the opportunities in One Health and interdisciplinary research. 2/3

Prof. Peiris urged graduate students to be curious, to never ignore unexpected results as they could lead to new discoveries, and post-PhD to take research opportunities that are available at the time and in the region, even if it is in a completely new field of research. 3/3
