Many thanks to Leander Sea Scouts, who put out 3 boats and sent supporters along the towpath for the CARA Spring Litterpick last Saturday. Their work was much appreciated, on a chilly, windy morning.

Please join CARA Autumn Riverside Litter-pick: Saturday October 5, 11.15 to lunchtime. Come to the slipway at the north end of Canbury Gardens to tidy the riverbank. CARA provides grabbers, gloves (you may prefer your own), & trash bags. Children must bring a responsible adult.

The Thames Landscape Strategy's volunteers are clearing scrub January 13th to 16th, along the riverside below the Half Mile Tree, sponsored by some CARA members. Well done the TLS! This is essential work, to maintain the views of the river and keep the riverbank in good shape.

CARA has begun to organise some litter picking along Lower Ham Road, with individuals or groups of 2 or 3 tidying stretches of the river bank on a rota, roughly weekly. Please Contact us via CARA Kingston.org if you would like to be involved.

Best wishes for what we hope will be an enjoyable Christmas, although very much restricted this year. CARA is planning some events for 2021, but before we send out details we must wait to see what will be appropriate as the Corona virus situation changes.

CARA AGM: Wednesday 20 October at the Pavilion, Canbury Gardens. Doors open at 6.30pm for refreshments. AGM business begins at 7.00pm. After AGM business our MP, Sarah Olney, will announce the Local Hero competition winner. Then she will speak on matters of local interest.
