Global average temperature is expected to rise to almost 2C above preindustrial in the next five years, according to the WMO, with falls in crop yields and more than a third of the world’s population being exposed to extreme heat. People, we are in danger.

As Trump's family businesses invest heavily in crypto... -He's instructing the government to ease up on regulating the industry -His SEC is dropping major lawsuits against crypto companies -His DOJ terminated a team focused on crypto crimes. See the problem?

Here's the decision just won by Ilya Somin and allies striking down Trump's tariffs as an abuse of presidential emergency authority. It's blinking inspiring. (thread) cit.uscourts.gov/sites/cit/file…

The Court of International Trade panel that struck down Trump's "Liberation Day" and other IEEPA tariffs included a Reagan, Obama, and Trump appointee. Credit to all for defending the rule of law. Perhaps Congress could come out of hiding and do its part to help this good cause?

A recent report found that Elon Musk faced at least $2.37B in potential legal liability from 11 fed agencies as of Inauguration Day. As he exits, these agencies are still on DOGE's chopping block or have dropped investigations into his corporations. See what this was about?

The Mediterranean Sea is overheating again. Temperature anomalies are greater than 5°C above normal for this time of year. Long-term ecological damage to marine species will have huge consequences for the region and beyond.

Confirming what we knew all along: this is not about going after criminals, it’s about chasing people through Home Depot parking lots. This does not make LA safer. Los Angeles continues to stand united against these indiscriminate raids. latimes.com/california/sto…

EU regulators, including the EU insurance regulator EIOPA 🇪🇺, propose intergrating ESG risks into #stresstests for banks and insurers. With an initial focus on #climaterisks -- physical and transition risks. US insurance regulators should do so as well.
