CECORE in partnership with GPPAC and in collaboration with the SDG16 Working Group is holding a half-day meeting on Policy Influencing/Advocacy at Grand Imperial Hotel Kampala.

Among the issues that came up during the discussion is the shrinking funding gap and the discussion made reference to the UN80 Initiative whose focus is on proposing reforms to help the UN address its liquidity crisis without jeopardizing its impact.

As the UN is looking into this challenge, the SDG16 Working Group is too to re-strategise without necessarily negativity affecting their peacebuilding operations in trying to address liquidity challenges while in Policy Influencing/Advocacy at local, regional and global level.
