Rarely has so much ignorance and ahistorical BS been crammed into a single tweet. I know you and Donald J. Trump are busy surrendering to a KGB butcher, abandoning the cause of freedom, and destroying the security of America and her allies, but you would do well, JD Vance, to

The height of dishonesty is accusing Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський of having started the war against Russia, of being a dictator, of having the support of only 4% of Ukrainians, and of wanting to plunder Ukraine's mineral resources as payment for his help. (1/2)

My colleague Luigi Scazzieri with a very good explanation of why, although European Commission is offering member-states scope to spend up to €800 billion extra on defence, the eventual boost to budgets is likely to be much smaller.

It must be said that even the beneficial effects of Trump are the products of efforts by European countries to mitigate the damage Trump is doing. Still, that's better than nothing, given the harm Trump is causing, identified by Charles Grant .

Charles Grant Trump’s efforts to devalue the transatlantic security relationship, combined with fears of Putin’s Russia, are leading not only to the growth of national defence budgets but also to more EU involvement in defence.
