Our team in the Netherlands (Den Helder base) has teamed up with Avy (drone technology) and the North Holland Safety Region to trial out utilizing drones to support public safety (fire detection and potentially water SAR). Great collaborative effort! #helicopter #drone

The CHC NED team performed their 1st flight with a Netherlands-registered AW189. The flight was for long-standing customer, Total Energies, to the K5P platform. The AW189 provides a larger passenger capacity over longer distance - more value and efficiency for the customer.

A moo-ving story from our Rescue 118 (Ireland) team last week - the crew was tasked to help encourage (using down draft and noise) a cow back to shore after wandering out too far into the surf. Bundoran lifeboat volunteers were on shore to help corral the runaway cow to safety.

4 legged tails cont: From CHC Australia, "Mick" the Pilbara Rock Monitor was found in a drill pipe in an ocean platform with no return ticket back to the mainland. After consulting the Environmental Advisor & local wildlife carer assoc - Mick was safely transported back to land!

Members of Waterford R117 (Sarah Courtney, Ronan Flanagan and Adrian O’Hara & Aaron Hyland) got Certificates of Bravery @ National Bravery Awards (Ireland) - for their efforts to evacuate 7 from a fishing vessel that sank at Kenmare Bay in March this year.
