The snow is starting to stick on upper SR 20. Please use caution and drive safe. Carry tire chains and have emergency supplies in your vehicle. On SR 20 and Nevada Street, Caltrans has a chain checkpoint setup.

Current conditions on SR 20 at near Omega lookout. Please use caution and drive slowly. Carry chains and have a plan when traversing snowy mountain passes.

Traffic Alert. All lanes of traffic are blocked at SR20 at Sun Ridge Ct.

Lanes are now open.

Fire personnel are on scene of a brushfire Highway 49 at Upward Way. Highway 49 is open, but use caution and watch out for emergency personnel and vehicles.

Use caution while in the area of Highway 49 and Cerrito Road. Officers are on scene of a non- injury crash. There will be some extensive cleanup for the travel trailer that rolled over.

Use caution in the area of Golden Center, Freeway and Dorsey Drive for a vehicle versus big rig crash. Vehicles are able to move through the left shoulder

#TrafficAlert EB State Route 20 is closed at Dorsey Road due to a traffic collision. Traffic being diverted to Idaho Maryland Road. Delays are expected. No ETO.

It’s been a busy day for the CHP Grass Valley officers. Luckily the driver of this vehicle was alert, talking and was transported to the hospital.  At the moment vehicles are able to pass in the center divide on Golden Center freeway.

7/11/25 10:30 am. Use caution in the area of SR-49 at Lime Kiln Rd. Due to a power outage, the traffic lights are not working. CalTrans is aware and working on a solution. Remember, if traffic lights are not working, treat intersection as a 'STOP' sign and use extra caution.

Update: CalTrans has been able to get traffic lights flashing red. Continue to use caution while PG&E tries to restore power to the area.

Good news, as of 2:45 pm, traffic signals are cycling normal. Thank k you for your patience and drive safe.

Road closure! Use caution in the area of McCourtney Rd between Woodlake Dr. and Chukar Dr. Early morning crash resulted in a power pole down and communication lines in the road. McCourtney Rd is blocked in both directions with no estimated time of opening. AT&T is on scene.

Update: Power is about for approximately 70 residents while repairs continue.

Use caution in the area of Highway 49 and Bethel Church for a fire. One lane is blocked and we are doing one-way traffic control. Expect heavy traffic and find alternate route.
