#NZWTO First Sec Catherine Rissel presented on the Agreement on Climate Change, Trade & Sustainability @ACCTS at the OECD #GGSD. Great to support @WTO & OECD ➡️ Better Policies for Better Lives linkages. NZ excited to be part of this pathfinder agreement that promotes climate and trade policy objectives New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade




Coalition of Trade Ministers on Climate Ambassadors met in Geneva this week to advance progress on the Coalition's priorities. They discussed upcoming opportunities for ministerial-level engagement, the Coalition’s Menu of Voluntary Actions & preparations for #COP29. ➡️ bit.ly/3ChHXkP





This week saw 🇲🇾, 🇨🇱& 🇧🇳’s entry into force of #CPTPP notified @ the WTO’s Committee on Regional Trade Agreements #CRTA, with Clare Kelly as interim Chair. CRTA carries out an important transparency function in the #WTO & shares best practice for FTAs.


A fantastic conference today at the @WTO on the intersection of artificial intelligence and trade. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala put it well: things are moving fast in AI and we must be prepared to adapt but with care #AI #NZWTO



Breaking: the General Council has appointed Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for a second term, effective 1 September 2025. More details to follow.
