It was my honor to swear in the newly elected officers of the Pacific Beach Town Council. Congratulations to each of these community leaders!

Since last month, 260 people experiencing homelessness have accepted offers of shelter and come off the street. 110 people have exited our shelters to housing. Our shelter occupancy is at approximately 90% and we are bringing on more shelter beds this week.

Thousands of affordable homes for San Diegans, a new Sports Arena and more public amenities for the Midway community. We still have a long way to go but I’m excited about the progress we’re making to bring new life to this site. sandiegouniontribune.com/business/growt…
