INT 1037-A (sponsored by Council Member Sandy Nurse) requires owners of multiple dwelling buildings with rent-stabilized units to post a sign stating that the building contains such units and provide information for how tenants can determine if their units are rent stabilized.

Thanks City Limits for the write-up! Tenants shouldn’t have to dig through state records just to figure out if they’re being overcharged. The Rent Transparency Act makes it easier for tenants to know their rights and make sure that their landlord’s following the law.
