We had an awesome time last night at our 2025 Piper Pirates Football Mom’s Night! We started with our scheme and football quizzes then finished settle and noose, OL working on driving off the ball, and of course the moms got to practice Seahawk tackling vs. their sons. #Win B.Y.O.E.

True Speed Training looks very Vanilla on paper. It looks like some brief prep work, a handful of max effort reps, long rest periods, and chasing PRs. A lot of the extra fluff coaches add is more for the image than the result. Speed Training done right, is actually very boring.

Everyone’s looking for the secret to getting faster. But here’s the truth, while our understanding of why has evolved, the means haven’t changed much. We’re still using the same core tools - sprint drills, skips, bounds, accelerations, because they work.
