It’s Active April in River Valley CNS. On Sunday the children ran the junior park run. Each day a different teacher has led our whole school 10@10. We had an athletics class for parents & students on Wed morning with Shane from Athletics Ireland & today we started tennis coaching!

May is culture month in River Valley CNS , a month in which we learn all about one anothers’ cultures, heritages & home languages. A huge thank you to our volunteers so far, Emily who read some Irish legends to our classes and Marcella & her two assistants who taught us Italian!

The students in 1st and 2nd class took part in a bio-diversity workshop sponsored by Glenveagh. The workshop started in the classroom but then moved out to Rivervalley park for some hands on investigating! 🪲🌱 #biodiversityinschools

A huge congratulations to our whole school community on achieving our 1st Green Flag for litter & waste. Students from jun infants - 2nd class performed our school song, Grow Together at the award ceremony. We were the only school performing on the day. They made us all so proud!
