June #siteofthemonth is Sourhope, 350m up in The Cheviots on an area of grassland & mineral soil in the headwaters of Beaumont Water. Sourhope’s remote location means it uses satellite-based connectivity (rahuldev kalikar and Ground Control) to enable near real-time environmental monitoring

July #siteofthemonth is Moor House, 465m above sea level on mineral loamy soil supporting cotton grass and heather. Located in the Moor House Upper Teesdale National Nature Reserve, it is managed by Natural England, the government’s adviser for the natural environment in England.

October #siteofthemonth is hosted by Sheepdrove Organic Farm Organic Farm, a mixed, Soil Association certified family-run farm on the rolling chalk and grass of the Berkshire Downs and which pioneers sustainable, regenerative and organic farming and biodiversity conservation.

November #siteofthemonth is Hollin Hill, on very steep grassland in the Howardian Hills, NE of York. Alongside COSMOS-UK kit, British Geological Survey has scientific monitoring equipment because of known landslide events. Search Hollin Hill Landslide Observatory – British Geological Survey
