Watching from the sidelines…it was hard to see the communication vacuum in the pre- COVID19 vaccine delivery phase. Must capture lessons around when/how to communicate prior to the availability of the vaccine. Could we have done better to prime the public for what was coming!

Critical to think about the phrasing and words used to describe the vaccine recommendations- the use of ‘preference’ caused challenges amongst those trying the recommended the #COVID19 vaccines .

Check out this new work undertaken in partnership with NCIRS and led by Joshua Karras as part of his PhD! Great timing given the ongoing challenges around #COVID19 but also relevant takeaways for other vaccines! Collaboration on Social Science and Immunisation UNSW Medicine & Health

mdpi.com/1660-4601/19/1… Excited to share research conducted with @uwa staff and students re: whether the Uni should mandate COVID-19 vaccines. Also includes insights from hesitant/refusers about behaviour-change interventions. @VaxPolLab @JulieLinJi Leah Roberts Collaboration on Social Science and Immunisation
